Proceeds of New NYC-Themed Bottles to Benefit As summer in New York City continues to sizzle, The Coca-Cola Company's commitment to refresh is going beyond thirst quenching. The Company is making available distinctive New York-themed eight-ounce bottles whose proceeds will benefit the NYC & Company Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to building New York City's economy and positive image through tourism and convention development. Now available in all outlets that sell Coca-Cola products in the New York Tri-State area, the bottle features the unmistakable contour design with a special label picturing the Manhattan skyline, Brooklyn Bridge and Statue of Liberty. The label also includes NYC & Company's web address, www.nycvisit.com , the official Web site for New York City tourism. A portion of the collected proceeds will be donated to the NYC & Company Foundation later this summer. The collectible bottles will be sold in eight-ounce six-packs with a suggested retail price of $3.99. One million New York-themed bottles have been distributed to Tri-State area. "We continually look for ways to contribute our time, expertise and resources to improve the quality of life in the communities where we do business," said Bill Vander Meulen, operational marketing manager, Coca-Cola North America. "Through the support and aid to NYC & Company in revitalizing New York City tourism, we hope to help improve the local economy and livelihood for small business owners."
