Specially Marked Packages Will Contain One of Five Atari Games on CD-ROM General Mills brings fun for the whole family to stores nationwide with the Great Games Giveaway. For a limited time, in specially marked packages of participating General Mills cereals, consumers will find one of five Atari family CD-ROM games, including Backyard Baseball™ and such classic board games licensed from Hasbro as Monopoly, Scrabble, Candy Land and Operation. In addition, General Mills pays tribute to the classic property trading game Monopoly with a limited edition cereal. Available starting in July, specially marked packages of Cheerios, Honey Nut Cheerios, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Reese's Puffs and Golden Grahams cereals will include one Atari CD-ROM game free inside the box. Each CD-ROM will also feature America Online version 8.0. "We're thrilled to give families a new way to play these well-known games and connect to the Internet," said Trent Blain, marketing manager in General Mills' Big G cereal division. In addition to the cereal promotions, consumers will find different Atari CD-ROM games or free mail-in offers for other games on or near specially marked packages of General Mills brands including Pop Secret, Bugles, Gardetto's, Chex Mix, Old El Paso, Pillsbury, Totino's and Betty Crocker (frosting).
