Customers Now Have A Question: What’s ingenious, innovative and yummy all over? Answer: McDonald’s new McGriddles breakfast sandwiches! A new, permanent menu item, McGriddles breakfast sandwiches provide an innovative way for customers to eat warm golden griddle cakes (with the sweet taste of maple syrup baked right in), and different combinations of savory sausage, crispy bacon, fluffy eggs and melted cheese in a convenient sandwich. McDonald’s customers nationwide can now enjoy these tasty creations at participating McDonald’s restaurants. The three varieties of these new, hot breakfast sandwiches consist of two soft and warm golden griddle cakes -- with the yummy taste of maple syrup baked right in -- and a choice of sausage or sausage, egg & cheese, or bacon, egg & cheese. McDonald’s recommended pricing is $1.59 for the sausage McGriddles breakfast sandwich and $2.19 for the other two tasty varieties (prices and participation may vary). “These new breakfast sandwiches are some of the most unique in the breakfast category,” said Wendy Cook, vice president of menu management, McDonald’s. “In test restaurants across the nation, McGriddles have wowed our customers with their exceptional combination of sweet and savory tastes. It’s another way McDonald’s is responsive to evolving consumer tastes and providing a novel breakfast option.”
Additionally, to capture the excitement and innovation of the McDonald’s new McGriddles breakfast sandwiches, Frankel Chicago developed the restaurant merchandising and P.O.P showcasing the tagline “Taste What’s In!” focusing on the products’ innovating and other “in” adjective qualities to be featured on medium cups, carry out bags and trayliners, as well as on in-restaurant, exterior and Drive-Thru décor. McDonald's is the leading global foodservice retailer with more than 29,000 restaurants serving nearly 46 million people in 119 countries each day. Approximately 80 percent of McDonald's restaurants worldwide are owned and operated by independent, local businessmen and women. Visit their website at www.McDonalds.com |
